Jordan & Colton - Minnesota Engagement Photography.

Go to the farm. Get out the hand warmers. Wait for the sunset.

Jordan and Colton invited me out to the farm in late fall for their engagement session. It was cold. The kind of cold where you second-guess your outfit choice the second you step outside. Luckily, I got to stay bundled up while the couple powered through with coats off, smiles on, and a good attitude the whole way through.

Midway through, we took a break to warm up with coffee and defrost just a little. Then, as the light dropped, we hit the nearby back roads. Sunset delivered—glow across the fields, soft skies, and that unmistakable late-season calm you only get at the tail end of fall.

The shoot was a reminder that you don’t need perfect conditions—just a good location, a willing couple, and a little bit of trust in the process.
